The model was trained using the self-learning method, which differs from traditional machine learning approaches.

Russian scientists from Skoltech have presented a digital model that will simplify the planning of oil field development. Using the model, you can get useful information about the well. For example, compare it with already developed wells nearby in order to predict the properties relevant to oil production, improve drilling efficiency and solve the problem of incorrect drilling direction.

The model was trained using the self-learning method, which differs from traditional machine learning approaches. For the latter, data with markup is needed, that is, provided with an additional description, and the self-learning mode does not require this.
